Interviewing your Builder, Architect, and Interior Designer is one of the most important stages you will embark on prior to making your dream home become your reality. Once you have had the initial phone interview, meeting face to face at the project site, if possible, is key. Meeting with your entire project team in the earliest stages of your project is important, because this team will form a relationship centered around helping you achieve your goals over the next several months of planning and construction.
During the programming phase, we organize a series of interviews and field measurements of the property. All parties are collecting information from one another to set construction goals, priorities, budgets, and the feasibility of the overall project. Please don’t be afraid to ask us questions! It is in your best interest to address all of your concerns, state factors of the project that are important to you, and always keep the communication open so that our team is always pointing you in the right direction.
After our programming phase is complete, we then proceed on to the development phase of your project. It is during this phase that we address any and all problems that need to be solved. You will be presented with conceptual floor plans for proper space planning, elevations to help you visualize how your project could look, and an estimate of how much it may cost to execute. Upon approval, we then proceed to the fun stuff! Presenting materials, finishes, plumbing & electrical fixtures, appliances, hardware, furniture, and fabric. Throughout this phase, modifications made by your Builder, Architect, or Interior Designer may likely be made in order to finalize construction documents and to fit your budget.
